This notice explains the personal information processed through Explore Limpopo and the controls available to users of the platform.

Information we collect
Explore Limpopo may process information you submit when creating an exhibitor account, maintaining a tourism listing, publishing an event, sending an enquiry or responding to an event invitation. This can include names, contact details, organisation information, account credentials, listing content, event details and RSVP information.
Why it is used
Information is used to operate the tourism platform, administer exhibitor accounts, moderate public content, respond to enquiries, manage event RSVPs, maintain security, measure platform performance and support the promotion of Limpopo tourism. Information should not be used for an unrelated purpose without an appropriate basis.
Public information
Approved exhibitor profiles and approved events are intended for public discovery. Exhibitors should only publish contact details, photographs and business information that they are authorised to make public.
Security and access
Administrative and exhibitor areas are access-controlled. Passwords are stored as cryptographic hashes rather than readable passwords. Access to personal information should be limited to authorised users who need it for platform operations.
Retention and service providers
Information is retained for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, operational records, legal obligations and legitimate platform administration. Hosting, email, analytics, security or other authorised service providers may process information where necessary to deliver the service, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable South African law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), a person may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information where appropriate, object to certain processing, or raise a privacy concern.
